Cara Honzak - Your Ward 5 City Councilmember

Hello! I am Cara Honzak, your Takoma Park, Maryland neighbor for the last 20 years, and your City Councilmember for Ward 5 as of November 2022. I am honored and humbled to have been elected by you to serve our community for the next two years. I am also excited about what we can achieve, together.

The current City Council is comprised of: Mayor Talisha Searcy and Councilmembers: Shana Fulcher (Ward 1), Cindy Dyballa (Ward 2), Randy Gibson (Ward 3), Terry Seamens (Ward 4), me (Ward 5), and Jason Small (Ward 6). Four of us (that includes me) are new to our City Council. With the eager energy of newcomers, bringing with us our respective and varied professional experiences, and in close collaboration with our seasoned Mayor and fellow incumbents, we are hitting the ground running.
